I decided last year about midway through the farmer’s market that there was no way I was putting myself through that same hell this year (e.g., staying up night after night to prepare for the week’s market). Instead, I’ve been working on bags for the last couple months to be sure I have a well-stocked inventory. So far, I have almost 100 bags hanging in the closet and ready to go. That will last me roughly four to five markets (I’m signed up for 12) based on last year’s sales volume. I’m hoping I’ll sell even more this year, but you never know.
In other Ruthie Pearl news, I am hoping to have completed some new makeup bags with the same fabric in a few days. I want to have them on opening day, but we’ll see if that actually happens. Yes, I know some of you want the hobo bag to come back…I’m doing my best. My blog readers, of course, will be the first to know.
